Earning a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Belt exemplifies the mastery of the Six Sigma methodology— a disciplined, data-driven approach for eliminating defects in any process.

In our LSS Black Belt training, you will learn to how to collect data, understand data collection and analysis, root cause analysis and wastes in a cross-functional process, and then use advanced tools to drive wastes out of the process and to reduce process variation. Additionally, this training enables the individual to become data/metric oriented, root cause analysis driven, and team oriented. As such, people become more effective in working on, leading, and supporting project objectives linked to the profit and strategic objectives.

In our LSS Green Belt training, you will learn to how to collect data, understand data collection and analysis, root cause analysis and wastes in a process, and then use many basic statistical tools to eradicate waste from the process and to reduce process variation. Additionally, this training also enables the individual to become data/metric oriented, root cause analysis driven, and team oriented. As such, people become more effective in working on, leading, and supporting project objectives linked to the profit and strategic objectives.

In our LSS Yellow Belt training, you will gain an overall insight to the techniques of Lean Six Sigma, its metrics, and basic improvement methodologies. A Yellow Belt knows how to integrate techniques for the improvement of production and transactional systems to better meet customer expectations and bottom-line objectives of their organization. A Yellow Belt typically has a basic knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma, but does not lead projects on their own.

LSS Belt candidates will learn to apply lean tools to reduce and eliminate wastes, and the DMAIC methodology to reduce process variations and defects to achieve quantifiable bottom-line business improvement.

Typical Green Belt projects spin off savings of $25k to $50k in process improvement. Those choosing to receive Green Belt certification, will also receive project coaching specific to a process improvement project; one-on-one project review and coaching.

Who should attend?

Anyone involved in continuous improvement activities, including manufacturing engineers, process engineers, manufacturing managers, and continuous improvement managers. Traditionally Lean Six Sigma tools have been used in manufacturing, however these tools are used to improve any transactional, service, or healthcare process.

Please Note: Students who seek LSS Belt certification must attend all classroom sessions, implement an improvement project to the satisfaction of the project champion and/or the Master Black Belt trainer, and satisfactorily complete a written exam which will be given at the conclusion of the training.
